The point of introduction to Fitzpatrick wines for most customers is our Tasting Room.
The awe of visiting Fitzpatrick’s starts immediately as you enter our gates and begin to drive up to our hilltop and take-in the vast panorama of Fair Play’s wine country and beyond over the rolling foothills upwards to High Sierra. Parking your car eyes focus on the structure, a very befitting architecture for these upper reaches of the Sierra Foothills.
Walking through the stone pillars underneath the open air l
og structure frames your return to that great panorama on your way to the tasting Room door.
Housed inside on the main floor of our had-crafted log Lodge, our Tasting Room is modest in size but very welcoming and comfortable. The bar is pub style complete with brass foot rails and is high enough to comfortably lean on. The ambiance of the hand-peeled log walls and overhead beams intermixed with granite stone work gives way to interesting mix of Celtic gifts, Irish foods, a stocked Deli case and the full set of current Fitzpatrick wines.
The Fitzpatrick have offered their famous Ploughman’s Lunch series every weekend for over 20 years. Now the menu has been expanded to please most anyone. Lunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4:30pm all year around. For weekdays we have you covered with a Deli case full of cheeses, salami, fruit, beer and non-alcoholic drinks along with crackers, mustards, olives, etc. enough to put together a fine wine tasting picnic to enjoy inside or out on our decks or new garden patio.
Check our Calendar of Events to see what happening at the Tasting Room. We’ve created some annual traditions that bring additional fun and food to elevate your experience here at Fitzpatrick’s.
